Position Summary

VyncaCare seeks an experienced and driven individual with proven business development success in cultivating strategic partnerships that generate patient referrals and new business, engaging directly with seriously ill and/or high needs patients to enroll them for supportive care services. This person will lead a team of outreach and enrollment specialists and support their success in achieving targets. The role requires the leader to live in the Pacific or Mountain time zone, preferably California or Oregon.

The Vice President will work collaboratively with sales, marketing, strategic partnerships and clinical operations. This individual must have a proven track record and a growth mindset to execute on program initiatives. Establishing KPIs, forecasting performance, achieving established targets and driving team accountability are critical requirements. Performance in this role will impact VyncaCare's financial performance in three key elements: 1) pipeline opportunity generation; 2) growth through converting identified opportunities into business 3) expanding patient census, contacts and demonstrating teamwork. The role will report to the COO.


Essential Job Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Grow the patient census in new and existing markets with multiple partners leveraging various care delivery models
  • Establish strategic partnerships that deliver consistent referral sources
  • Demonstrate overall sales acumen
  • Present compelling strategic messaging that conveys the company's value proposition
  • Recruit and develop the team, focusing on role definition and attainment of goals
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to support team alignment and success
  • Collaborate with other department leaders and foster cross functional cooperation
  • Drive development of processes, technology, best practices and training programs
  • Report business metrics to track and optimize the team's performance
  • Develop incentive plans that align team member performance to business objectives
  • Manage change and conflict by offering guidance and support
  • Maintain company culture by modeling core values of the organization and ensuring staff understands values and mission
  • Travel up to 50% for partner meetings, team ride-alongs, and internal leadership meetings
Requirements:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven history of superior sales results and sales management experience
  • 10+ years of sales and/or business development in healthcare, a health network, managed care, or healthcare technology organization or related sector
  • 10+ years of experience directly managing a sales and/ or business development team, building out marketing strategies and executing sales plans
  • Must possess a high level of integrity and strong work ethic with the flexibility and tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, dynamic environment
  • Superior organizational skills to orchestrate internal and external meetings driving outcomes
  • Strong adaptability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  • Ability to work remotely with excellent connectivity and flexibility
  • Strong executive presence with excellent oral (in-person and telephone) and written communication skills
  • Technical aptitude to develop strategic messaging, marketing collateral, and polished presentations
  • Proficient in Salesforce and Google Suite

Preferred Experience

  • Palliative care and/or hospice experience
  • Recruiting and developing outreach and enrollment teams
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations
  • Knowledge of care delivery models, including fee-for-service and value-based models
  • Work history in a fast pace, high-growth startup environment
